mcode comes out of years of teaching real students to build with AI, and a year of shipping agents into their hands. Every date below has an artifact behind it.
AI coding enters Mars IT School classrooms. Thousands of students become the proving ground for what beginners actually need.
First versions of our own agents ship: internal bots, pipelines and code generation in the school's daily operations.
Browser vibe-coding app ships: chat, live preview, project gallery. Students build and publish from a prompt.
mcode is born: fork of sst/opencode. A day later, Token Factory v0, our own LLM gateway with a wallet. Five days later, the first benchmark run against a frontier baseline.
Signed desktop builds for macOS and Windows with an auto-update channel. The agent leaves the terminal.
930+ commits on the fork. 243 student sites live on marshub.uz, built by 100 authors. The browser app is at release 57.
Live preview where the agent verifies its own work. A beginner mode that narrates every step in plain language, with named trust levels. Published benchmark methodology.
